Piraeus: Cape Sounion - 5 hours

Meet your guide as you disembark your cruise ship in Piraeus and venture along the scenic coast to Cape Sounion where you visit the ancient ruined Temple of Poseidon. This temple is believed to date from the 5th century BC and was built to honour Poseidon, who ranked second only to Athena herself in terms of power. The Temple enjoys an impressive position, high on the cliffs, and has, over the centuries, been marked by many travellers’ carved signatures, including that of Lord Byron. After touring the site, you return to your cruise ship in Piraeus.

Naples: Food Tour of Naples - 4 hours

Along with your expert guide, head into the heart of the historic centre of Naples and explore one of Naples’ best food markets. Continue along the alleys of the historic city centre to discover the most picturesque corners of Naples. Naples: The City of Naples - 8 hours

Naples' historic city centre is the largest in Europe, covering 4,200 acres and enclosing 27 centuries of history. One of the oldest continuously-inhabited cities in the world with Bronze Age Greek settlements dating back to the second millennium BC, the area was re-founded as Neápolis (‘new city’) in the sixth century BC, becoming a lynchpin of Magna Graecia and playing a key role in the merging of Greek culture into Roman society.

Explore Naples today with your expert guide. Highlights include the Spaccanapoli district, the magnificent Duomo cathedral, the Cappella Sansevero with its virtuosic sculptural masterpiece the Cristo Velato, as well as lesser-known gems such as the San Giovanni a Carbonara. Naples: Historic Pompeii & Vesuvius - 9 hours

Travel outside Naples today for an excursion to Pompeii. Upon arrival at Pompeii, enjoy a walking tour of this once opulent town. The extensive and varied ruins of Pompeii now provide us with a rich history of life at the time of the Roman Empire. Destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 BC, this dugout treasure represents an amazing day trip for children and adults alike. Mount Vesuvius – 1281 meters high – was brought into volcanological history after the eruption of 79 BC, when it destroyed the towns and thousands of residents of Pompeii, Stabiae, and Herculaneum. Climb till the summit of the ‘mount’ this afternoon with your guide and admire the splendid views across the Bay of Naples. Meet your guide and driver at the pier side of Livorno for a full day of discovery in the Chianti region of Tuscany.  Hill-towns gaze across the countryside from on high, many encircled by Etruscan walls and slender cypress trees. As you travel along the winding roads, soak up the rich panorama comprising beautiful rolling hills, vineyards and olive groves. Admire the charming hamlets and farmhouses as well as fortified villas and castles that symbolise colourful history of the region during the Middle Ages. Algarve History (3 - 4 Hours)

It was the capital of the country from 1139 to 1256 and its university was founded in 1290. Today this impressive university is still one of the world's most illustrious and the city's biggest attraction. Surrounding it in the old town are fine old churches and narrow streets standing on a hill overlooking the Modego River.
 
Enjoy a private visit to the Old University. Enter through the "Porta Férrea", dating from the 17th century, and continue towards a courtyard known as "Pátio das Escolas". On the north side lies the buildings of the Old University, the east observatory, and the west the small university church.
 
Most impressive of all is the baroque style library, Biblioteca Joanina, one of the world’s most resplendent. It was built in the early 18th century with rooms rich in gilt and exotic wood, and lined with 300,000 books. Enjoy a walking tour through the old part of the city, with a visit to the two cathedrals - the Old Cathedral (“Sé Velha") and the New Cathedral (“Sé Nova").
 
Lunch (not included) will be served in a restaurant that offers an informal atmosphere and sharing concept. Indulge in a "Market Kitchen", which uses the region's traditional products to create unique recipes, renewed four times a year, to the rhythm of the seasons.

After lunch, the journey continues direction towards the magnificent medieval city of Óbidos, Portugal’s most romantic medieval town.
 
The entire city of Óbidos was declared a National Monument. It is known as the "Weeding Gift" because it was a gift that D. Dinis gave to Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day in 1282. However, it is not only this fact that makes it such an extraordinarily romantic place - which makes it one of the most romantic medieval towns in Europe are its incredibly picturesque cobbled streets lined with colorful houses full of geraniums and bougainvillea, Gothic doors and windows, whitewashed churches, pots and glazed tiles all surrounded by the walls of a 12th century castle.
 
At the end of the day, your driver will take you to the dock in Lisbon.

Alice and Paulo Tavares da Silva bought the estate in the 1980s and made significant investments in its 45ha of vineyard. The introduction of new cultivation methods has allowed the family to consolidate the quality and reputation of their wines.
 
In an accompanied visit, you can get to know the wine making technology and methods used in the Quinta to produce their elegant wines, learning every step of the wine process. After understand how the wines are produced, see for yourself how they are stored during the ageing process that gives them some of their most typical characteristic. Follows a private and lectured wine tasting, lectured by the responsible for the oenology department, Sandra Tavares da Silva, the daughter of the owners, or by the resident oenologist, so you can confirm the high quality of their product. Sandra is making wines in both Estremadura and the Douro, which necessitates travelling between the two regions three times a week. Its historical and excellent vineyards are known since the 16th century and have belonged to Diogo Duff, a brave Scottish man who received the "Tower and Sword" insignia, given by King João VI. Alice and Paulo Tavares da Silva bought the estate in the 1980s and made significant investments in its 45ha of vineyard. The introduction of new cultivation methods has allowed the family to consolidate the quality and reputation of their wines.
 
In an accompanied visit, you can get to know the wine making technology and methods used in the Quinta to produce their elegant wines, learning every step of the wine process. After understand how the wines are produced, see for yourself how they are stored during the ageing process that gives them some of their most typical characteristic. Follows a private and lectured wine tasting, lectured by the responsible for the oenology department, Sandra Tavares da Silva, the daughter of the owners, or by the resident oenologist, so you can confirm the high quality of their product. The family will invite you for lunch at their house.
 
Sandra is making wines in both Estremadura and the Douro, which necessitates travelling between the two regions three times a week. Since then her day job has been as winemaker for Christiano Van Zeller at Quinta do Vale D. Maria in the Douro. New York City: SoHo

Like most of the developing city in the early years, SoHo (which stands for South of Houston Street – and by the way, it’s pronounced How-ston) started as a small village.  Over time, the neighborhood went from the wealthiest, to the most industrial, to a slum called “Hell’s 100 acres.”  Now it is back to trendy again.  SoHo is one of the most stylish neighborhoods in New York City, with clues of its past around every corner.  Several of its cast iron buildings built in the mid-1800s still stand.  As you explore the area, you will get the feel of its many cobblestone streets.  When artists arrived in SoHo in the 1970s, they began the revival of the neighborhood.  You’ll visit two of SoHo’s famed art galleries, including the Earth Room.  Next to SoHo is NoLIta – which is Northern Little Italy.  The area is home to the old St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  One story in particular your guide will impart is the 1799 murder of Elma Sands, the “Ghost of Spring Street.”
