Icon of the Seas 2024 Experience

May

Pros: 1. The smooth boarding and exiting process. 2.The new elevator system 3. Wow bands

Cons: 1. Aggressive negative customer service in Pointe & Feather 2. Layout for Playmakers 3. Exit points for theater travels through Playmakers and Hooked seafood conflicts with AquaTheatre

Recommended: Yes

Overall, the Icon experience was excellent. Feedback 1. Michelle, bartending in Pointe & Feather, was very rude and condescending. 2. Wow bands should be complimentary for suite guests. Also, there should be wireless devices at all bars to scan Wow bands. 3. Coastal Kitchen should be flexible with suite guests bringing in 3 - 5 family members. Especially for milestone occasions and when the restaurant is not terribly busy. 4. The adult beverage package should automatically link all qualifying guests in the same stateroom. 5. The Concierge were very friendly and helpful.

An iconic vacation

May

Pros: Beautiful designed ship! Wonderful use of neighborhoods so it never feels like a crowded ship. Well designed elevators, so you never wait. Excellent dinning experiences in the main dining room as well as the speciality restaurants. All Shows are beyond excellent in talent and entertainment. The bars and specialty drinks are top notched. The rooms are beautiful and the newly designed showers are wonderful. The crew is attentive, friendly and the best!

Cons: Not exactly a con, but be prepared that it is a family ship & there are a number of children. Therefore on sea days the pools can be crowded. Another issue involves that the ship has a number of stairs, to go to the spa locker room, to go to the ice skating venue, & to go to the adult pool as examples. People need to be aware if they have mobility issues.

Recommended: Yes

Overall a wonderful ship that I would highly recommend! Excellently designed! There is something for everyone in your family. A floating city with massive windows that makes you feel that you are part of the sea. An excellent staff that makes you feel special. Their private island, Cocoa Cay is the cherry on top of your cruising experience. It is very easy to be loyal to royal especially after sailing on this one of a kind ship.

Magnificent and innovative ship

May

Pros: Beautiful ship with excellent shows and a lot to do for the whole family. Absolutely love the new elevator system.

Cons: Exit from ice rink is very crowded going into Playmakers, very little seating for the Aqua show and uncomfortable bench seats

Recommended: Yes

The ship is beautiful and a lot to offer all ages. The Pearl is my new favorite picture spot on any ship I’ve been on. Love the new Overlook area, but wish it was adults only. Great place to catch the sunset on the ship. Crowns Edge was a fun but quick adventure that lets you soar over the ship and open water. You get to do the experience twice, first time they take pictures and video of you which are included in the price. A lot of different food options with much better choices than all their other ships. We tried out the adults only pool area and I prefer the Solarium on Oasis class ships. We did rent and ocean view bed for a sea day which included a bottle of ice champagne, 4 bottles of water and 2 souvenir Icon glasses in the price. This was worth the cost to have a spot the whole day. The ice show and Aqua show were my 2 favorite shows of any I’ve seen on their other ships. The water slides on the ship had long waits on sea days, but were a lot of fun.

Iconic Cruise !

April

Pros: So much to do and never felt overcrowded

Cons: Cocktails by Pool need improvement and spa massage did not meet its expectation

Recommended: Yes

Overall an amazing cruise. Not impressed with sail and rail excursion of St Kitts. St. John’s excursion very nice but the snorkeling was very short time like 30-45 minutes long The Cococay Hideaway Beach was the best for the $ It can be relaxing or super energetic depending where you sit.

Icon of the Seas - Spring break trip

March

Pros:

Cons: Way too many unsupervised teenagers during our trip (3/23/24 - 3/30/24)

Recommended: Yes

This is a beautiful ship and plenty of activities on board. We loved the dueling piano bar and as an adult, the slides were a lot of fun! Pearl Cafe was a great spot to grab and go and excellent coffee. A lot of spots to relax on the deck other than the pool deck. And the Rye & Bean bar is a must to grab an espresso martini.
