Italian family-owned Grand Hotel Minerva luxury hotel, completed in 2018 a multi-million dollar renovation of all 97 rooms and suites, as well as public areas, in celebration of the property's 150th Anniversary. Located in the heart of the city's center in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, the hotel is just a 5 to 10-minute walk from Florence's main attractions including the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Uffizi museum, Ponte Vecchio and the luxury shopping street of Via Tornabuoni. The sixth floor features a rooftop heated pool and bar (seasonal) with a breath-taking view of the city. All rooms and suites are spacious and offer an elegant, contemporary décor and magnificent views of Florence. Family Suites are also available. From April to October La Buona Novella Restaurant extends its doors "al fresco" for romantic candle lit dinners. A fitness center is available to the guests.

Architect Piera Tempesti Benelli made deft use of spaces, materials and colors for Grand Hotel Minerva's 97 new rooms to make them warm, inviting, comfortable and relaxing. All the rooms have wooden floors, soft colors on walls holding works by contemporary artists chosen from Florence and Pietrasanta's leading art galleries. She personally designed all furnishing pieces, paying tribute to Florence and Tuscany, and drawing on local artisans like the Antico Setificio Fiorentino, which made the textiles. Among the materials was, of course, the famous leather tanned in Florence, which she used both to cover all the room doors and on many headboards. All this fine craftsmanship, art and creativity, paired with hi-tech features, help meet our guests' every need and make their stays comfortable.

- Follow the signs to the Center / Main Railway Station (Centro / Stazione ferroviaria Santa Maria Novella)
- At the end of Viale Redi, take Viale Belfiore
- Keep left and at Piazzale di Porta al Prato take the two left lanes to turn into Viale Fratelli Rosselli
- Keep right and at the traffic light turn right into Via Jacopo da Diacceto
- Take Via Alamanni, leaving the station on your left
- Once in Piazza della Stazione, turn right into Via Santa Caterina da Siena
- At the traffic light, turn left into Via della Scala
- Proceed straight and to your left you will see Piazza Santa Maria Novella and the Church’s facade.
- The hotel is to the left of the facade. In the square (pedestrian zone) please drive slowly.
